The recommended time to change a transmission oil filter is usually when you also change the transmission fluid, which is generally every 48,000 to 160,000 (check with your vehicle manufacturer) km depending on the type of transmission (manual or automatic). It’s advisable to change the filter at the same time as the fluid to ensure proper lubrication and prevent potential damage.
